On Saturday night I was lucky enough to see MSTRKRFT live, however I must admit once again I was bitterly disappointed by them. It seemed they just wanted to play tracks that made as much noise as possible, their mixing was a little over average, and the track selection was appalling. However, before their set Ajax played, and as per usual he was having the time of his life, after seeing his set I can clearly see why he is favorite to win Australia's best DJ for a third year in a row. His mixing was stylish and track selection was superb, dropping tracks like the Act Yo Age remix of Met Her In Baltimore, the slow version of Cream which kept the crowd eager for the main act. Ever since I have heard him play he has been obsessed with the Ying Yang Twings song Dime, he did a clever mash up last year with that he mixed the a Capella with the MSTRKRFT remix of Monster Hospital, here is his 2008 edit of the song.

I always enjoy it when a rap song I was once obsessed with comes on at a club, however most of the time I am disappointed to hear that it is a remix rather than the original. Ajax dropped this track on Saturday night, and not long after searching I found it. It starts of with the original, and then builds into a nice electro beat with elements of the original beat throughout the track.

The fifth post I ever did was a bio about CandyBar, the post contained a mix that went down rather well with the readers, plus two remixes of theirs. Ever since then attack and decay have been hard at work, djing at various locations in Sydney like Candy's, Q-Bar and Sounds on Sunday. Every now and then I like to put up a mix or two for you loyal readers, this edition is a double attack from Sydney boy CSK OK, I first came across him back in the days of myspace, he did a very nice acoustic of Fun Punch. A few weeks later I was munting in a corner at Candy's and all of a sudden he was DJing. He has come along way since then, he now is one of the cooler kids in the seen, being able to play the guitar to accompany his live show, pfft clearly that's cooler than anyone that plays a trumpet. He also has some very popular remixes out there and some catch original of his own, and to finish off he also plays keys for Snob Scrilla. So here are two 30 minute mixes for you, I honestly don't know which one i like better!
