Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode are one of the longest-lived, most successful and influential bands to have emerged from the early 80s Electro Pop and New Wave scene. If you ask any of these mordern day synth bands, Depeche Mode would defintaley be up there in their influences. What I am getting to is that singer Dave Gahan recently revealed to the L.A. Times some news about their latest album "We’ve completed the record... There might be a couple of bits and pieces we’ve got to clean up, but I feel really good about the fact that we’re finished. I think we’ve made a great record.”

Its funny, just as I was getting into the whole "electro" scene a few years back, a friend of mine who was in to heavier rock music, always tried to tell me how good Depeche Mode was, yet time after time I would ignore her. Now look at me, I am writing a blog about how good they are, times change huh.
Anyways,

Back in October, the band announced that they are organising a 'Tour Of The Universe" in 2009 to coincide with the Album's realease, a whole bunch of dates have been added including most recently throughout Europe, but unfortunately none to Australia just yet.

Hopefully someone important will stumble across this post, and realise that Depeche Mode HAVE to tour Australia, or at least Sydney :) Anyway, out of the endless list of original tracks and remixes, I will provide you with three original tracks of theirs, plus two remixes from artists who I will be seeing at Field Day. I also couldn't go posting this Chew Fu remix as well, it truly blew me away.
